Wetland Delineation Report <br /> Spring Hill Goff Club Site <br /> GES Project No. 2011.036 <br /> December 5, 2011 <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br /> Results <br /> We�and A <br /> GES delineated a narrow wetland band that bisects a fairway and connects to <br /> additional wetland to the west and east. We would classify the portion of the <br /> wetland within the fairway as seasonally-flooded palustrine emergent (PEMC) <br /> which equates to Type 3 inland fresh shallow marsh under the Circular 39 <br /> classification system and 136 Shallow Marsh under the Eggers and Reed <br /> system. <br /> The wetland was evaluated along one transect on the south side of the wetland <br /> strip as indicated in Figure 3. The upland and wetland data collection points <br /> were located approximately at each end of the transect line indicated in Figure 3. <br /> The upland is described as mowed fairway consisting of Kentucky bluegrass <br /> (Poa pratensis). The upland slope adjacent to the delineated wetland boundary <br /> rises relatively abruptly and consists of"rough° within a fairway. The transition <br /> befinreen the wetland and uplarxi at the transect location is characterized by a <br /> relatively abrupt change from OBL vegetation to FAC vegetation. Soils also <br /> demonstrated a relatively abrupt change from dark and gleyed silt loam and clay <br /> loam to lighter colored mixed fill. <br /> WeUand B <br /> GES delineated a portion of the edge of this wetland which is part of the same <br /> wetland that was delineated as "Wetland A" to the north. We would classify the <br /> portion of the wetland we delineated as a combination of saturated palustrine <br /> emergerit/seasonally-flooded palustrine emergent(PEMB/PEMC)which equates <br /> to Type 2 inland fresh meadow/Type 3 inland fresh shallow marsh under the <br /> Circular 39 classification system and 15B Fresh (Wet) Meadow/13B Shallow <br /> Marsh under the Eggers and Reed system. <br /> The wetland was evaluated along finro transects as indicated in Figure 3. The <br /> upland and wetland data collection points were located approximately at each <br /> end of the transect lines indicated in Figure 3. The upland at the east transect <br /> (Transect 1) is described as upland shrubs, trees and "old field" consisting <br /> predominantly of staghom sumac and smooth brome. The upland slope adjacent <br /> to the delineated wetland boundary rises relatively abruptly. The transition <br /> between the wetland and upland at the transect location is characterized by a <br /> relatively abrupt change from FACW and OBL vegetation (Phalaris arundinacea <br /> and Carex lacustris)to mixed vegetation (sumac, brome, gray dogwood). Soils <br /> also demonstrated a relatively abrupt change from very black mucky loam to <br /> lighter sandy loam and loamy sands. <br />
