Box 294, Long Lake, <br /> Minnesota 55356 <br /> Steel Structures, Inc., 821 Ninth Avenue Southeast, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55414-1310 <br /> Date Reviewed: March 10, i�98 Date Received: March 10, 1998, March 9, 1998 <br /> SCOPE: This review pertains to the design of the individual sewage treatment system intended to serve the <br /> referenced facility, and is based upon Minnesota Rules, Chapter 7080. The review is based upon the <br /> supposition that the data on which the design is based are correct, and that necessary legal authority has been <br /> obtained to construct the project. The responsibility for the design, including structural features and the <br /> efficiency of equipment must be taken by the project designer. Approval is contingent upon satisfactory <br /> disposition of any requirements included in this report. <br /> Enclosed is a copy of the report and transmittal letter to be forwarded to the project owner. <br /> INSPECTIONS: The installation of the individual sewage treatment system must be inspected by a licensed <br /> sewage treatment system inspector or a qualified govemment employee. The installer must contact the city, <br /> township or county zoning official for an inspec6on. If an inspector is not available from one of these <br /> government offices, than a privately licensed inspector must be contacted for the inspection. <br /> Preliminary Treatment - Two 1,000-gallon septic tanks and one 1,500-gallon lift station tank. A 1,500-gaflon <br /> holding tank will receive the flammable waste trap discharge. <br /> Final Treatment - 270 square feet of drainfield, mound construction (the rock bed is 27 feet long by 10 feet <br /> wide). <br /> Other Information: This system is designed to senre a maintenance building with 20 employees. <br /> Maximum Daily Flow Rate -400 gallons per day. <br /> Average Daily Flow Rate - 300 gaiions per day. <br /> Soil Percolation Rate - 3.4 minutes per inch. <br /> Depth to Restricting Layer- 30 inches to mottled soil. <br /> REQUIREMENT(S): <br /> 1. The on-site sewage treatment system must be constructed in accordance with Minnesota Rules, <br /> Chapter 7080. <br /> 2. A water meter must be provided on the water service line to the building to measure the water flow to the <br /> sewage treatment system (see Minnesota Rules, part 7080.0125, subpart 4). The water use should be <br /> monitored and written records kept. If the average daily water use ever exceeds 300 gallons per day, <br /> then additional septic tank capacity and/or drainfield area must be provided. <br /> 3. A durable nonwoven geotextile fabric cover must be used to cover the rock layer. The cover must permit <br /> passage of water without allowing the passage of overlying soil material. <br />
