PARK COMMISSION AGENDA ITEM <br /> <br />Item No.: 7 Date: March 5th, 2018 <br />Item Description: Casco Point Park Planting Proposal <br />Presenter: Commissioner Ruegemer Agenda Section: Staff Updates <br /> <br />1. Purpose. The purpose of this action item is for Commission review and endorsement for a plan to <br />plant native species plants in the Casco Circle Park. <br /> <br />2. Background. The City was approached by Residents with an interest in improving Casco Circle <br />Park with the planting of some native plants. Commissioners Ruegemer and Meyers met with the <br />residents to review their plans. <br /> <br />3. Scope of Work. Installation of native planting within the park. See Exhibit A. <br /> <br />4. Cost. Donated Materials and Labor <br /> <br />5. Funding. NA. <br /> <br />6. Sub Committee Recommendation. The Casco Point Park Commissioners recommend approval. <br /> <br />7. Staff Recommendation. Staff recommends approval as the proposal is in keeping with the intent to <br />keep the park an undeveloped nature area. <br /> <br />COMMISION ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to endorse the plan to provide native planting in Casco Point Park. <br /> <br />Exhibits <br />A.
