34 <br />• Create a plan to improve security. <br /> <br /> <br />Phase II: This Phase will focus on completing Goals in 2030 Comp Plan. <br /> <br />• Establish a master plan for day use facilities, including but not limited to: bathrooms, shelter, <br />viewing platform, picnic tables, historical marker, accessible paths, sand veterans memorial flag. <br />• Clarify the Natural and Recreational Areas in the conservation easement. <br />• Re-evaluate the Management Plan together with the MCWD and make revisions as needed. <br />• Construct day use facilities <br />• Provide access for those who are physically disabled. <br />• Conduct a process involving all possible stakeholders to create a long-term Vision. <br />• Establish a true Vision for the Orono Big Island Park (what should it look like in the year <br />2040?) <br /> <br />Phase III: This Phase will focus on the long-term potential of the park. <br /> <br />• Create the partnerships required to implement the plan (MCWD, LMCD, surrounding cities, <br />state of MN, Veterans groups, Three Rivers Park District, etc,) <br />• Create a phased approach to the vision (masterplan) <br />• Seek and obtain funding. <br />Implement the plan.
