The 7 acres open pond (which <br />20 years ago was once a sewer pond) is from <br />1.5 feet to 4 feet in depth and is surrounded <br />by wetlands on the east and south. Another <br />portion of the preserve which fell into tax forfeiture makes up approximately 19 more acres; the whole property of Outlot <br />A has been estimated around 30 acres. The park opened in the Fall of 1994. The City has set aside the NW 4 acres.
