Agenda Section: Staff Report <br />Dir, Public Works/City Engineer <br />1. Purpose. The purpose of this item is to inform and update the Commission on the items the Public <br />Works Department will be working on with respect to Parks in 2018. <br />2. Summary. The tables below are a summary of the ongoing and new projects that the Public Works <br />and Engineering Department will be focused on in 2018. Also listed are some initiatives that will require <br />special staff attention. Not included in the list is the routine maintenance of our parks that the department <br />undertakes as a part of normal operations. <br />3. Includes retaining wall and pavement for cart parkin . <br />Golf Course <br />Fest Tent Area <br />Leveling and clearing a 40'x60' area for placement of a fest tent to facilitate <br />more events at the golf course <br />Golf Course <br />Clubhouse <br />The clubhouse foundation shows signs of water damage. This project <br />Foundation Sealing <br />would see foundation evaluated and sealed. This project should be <br />completed prior to the deck project as the deck would be along the <br />foundation wall with signs of water damage. <br />Golf Course <br />Irrigation Pond <br />The irrigation pond has approximately 1 foot of sediment build up. This <br />Dredging <br />proiect would remove the sediment and restore the capacity of the pond. <br />Golf Course <br />Fairway drainage <br />This is part 2 of a 2 part project to improve fairway drainage. Part 1 was <br />Project <br />completed <br />Big Island <br />Big Island Planning <br />Prepare a conceptual plan with cost estimates including ADA accessible <br />pathways and destinations throughout park, dock area improvements, <br />overlook / pavilion area, beach improvements, and restroom facilities.
