The purpose of this item is to get a commission decision/guidance on the creation and <br />installation of adopt -a -park Signs. <br />2. Background. The City has and adopt the Park Program (Reference A). To date two families have <br />adopted parks. In order to improve awareness of the program and to recognize those who participate, <br />Commissioner Ruegemer has recommended placing adopt -a -park signs at our parks. <br />3. Sign. A mockup of a possible adopt a park sign is included at Exhibit A. <br />4. Cost. Signs such as those depicted in the mock up are less than $50 each. <br />5. Funding. Signs would be funded from the Parks Operating Budget. <br />CON USION ACTION REQUESTED <br />• Decision on whether to install adopt -a -park Signs. <br />• Guidance on sign design. <br />Exhibits <br />A.
