City of Orono Parks Commission <br />Attn: Adam Edwards <br />Orono, MN <br />Dear Mr. Edwards, <br />Please accept this letter as our formal request to rent Hackberry Park for our flag <br />football program for the fall of 2017. We would like to request exclusive access to a <br />portion of the park for 2 weeknights (Tuesdays & Thursdays) from August 22nd <br />September 28th. <br />We expect to have approximately 30 players at the park at any point, which is <br />comparable to the amount that are present during the baseball season. With your <br />permission, we would also like to add paint lines to a portion of the park that we <br />would be using. Please see following page for approximate locations that we would <br />like to utilize. <br />I would propose a field rental fee of $20 per usage day, which is in line with similar <br />field rental fees that are paid to Long Lake (Holbrook Park) and Medina (Morningside <br />Park) by the Orono Baseball Association. A total of $240 for the rental period would <br />be paid by the football association to the City. <br />I apologize, but 1 am unable to attend your meeting on May 1St. It happens to be my <br />wife's birthday and as much as I enjoy the company of the parks commission, I do <br />believe that I would end up in hot water.
