General Assessment: Neglected and unattractive. Could be a peaceful <br />place for someone to sit to contemplate life, to read a book, to have a picnic, <br />to escape from stress, to have a private conversation with a friend. <br />Needs: <br />Deadfall removed. <br />Paths mowed. <br />Trees trimmed. <br />Buckthorn removed. <br />Seed with natural plants. <br />French Creek Preserve <br />General Assessment: An expansive and peaceful nature setting. Neglected <br />and in disrepair to the point of being unsafe in some areas of the preserve. <br />Needs: <br />More visible signage from the roadway. (currently at such an angle that it is <br />hard to be seen) <br />Buckthorn removal throughout. <br />Repair of directional/informational signage. <br />Repair of Park Here signs. <br />Repair blind. <br />Add a bench by the first blind. <br />Garbage receptacles in parking lot and in preserve. <br />Crystal Bay <br />General Assessment: An expansive parcel of land that provides for use by <br />many age groups and for both organized and unorganized activities. Is a <br />good example of a neighborhood park as it is easily accessible and has the <br />type of play equipment that children and parents favor. <br />Needs: <br />Remove pea rock in playground area and replace with wood chips. <br />New benches. <br />Fence power equipment to ensure safety. <br />Cut & trim trees. <br />Create concrete pads under picnic tables. <br />Create a better enclosure for porta-potty (now just tucked in <br />Repair split -rail fence (consider 2 rail versus 3 rail) <br />z <br />
