Much of <br /> SUMMARY OF EXISTING HOUSING CONDITIONS <br /> The following sections provide a brief summary of the housing types, occupancy tenure, structural <br /> condition and price range of housing in Orono. <br /> Housing Types <br /> The predominant housing type in Orono is single-family detached dwellings. This is true of both <br /> the urban and the rural areas of the City. However, the number of multi-family housing units has <br /> increased substantially since 2000, primarily along the Highway 12 corridor with the addition of <br /> the Orono Woods Senior Housing building and the Stonebay development.
