Schwingler stated in his view the City will benefit in the long <br /> run. <br /> Schoenzeit stated he would support flexibility in the placement of the trees but not the quantity. <br /> Schoenzeit stated in his view the developer is working hard on the water issues but that there may be <br /> some bad blood with the golf course owner that may need to be addressed. <br /> Chad Olson indicated he is in agreement with what has been stated so far by the Planning Commission <br /> and that while the water problems may not be completed resolved for the neighbors, it sounds like they <br /> may be mitigated quite a bit. <br /> Lemke indicated he agrees with not reducing the quantity of trees but perhaps the location. Lemke stated <br /> the majority of the issues have been addressed and that the rest of the items will be addressed during the <br /> rest of the process. <br /> Thiesse stated the concerns that were raised tonight can be addressed in the plans and that the plans have <br /> progressed to the point where those can be addressed. Thiesse indicated he would prefer groves of trees <br /> rather than prairie grasses in some areas if the developer would prefer not to plant them along the <br /> boulevard. <br /> Thiesse stated he would also question whether the monument island is necessary but that overall the <br /> development is a wonderful addition to the City. <br /> Leskinen stated she is very comfortable with the way Staff's recommendations are laid out as well as the <br /> engineer's recommendations. Leskinen indicated she would look for a motion to approve the preliminary <br /> plat incorporating all 16 of Staff's recommendations. Leskinen noted No. 16 incorporates all <br /> recommendations of the City Engineer and Staff. Leskinen indicated the motion could also include the <br /> recommendation for flexibility on the placement of the boulevard trees. <br /> Schoenzeit stated he would also like to encourage that the publicly owned park be included in the final <br /> plat. <br /> Schoenzeit moved,Lemke seconded,to recommend approval of Application No. 14-3691, Source <br /> Land Capital,405 North Arm Drive,granting of preliminary plat approval,subject to the sixteen <br /> recommendations outlined in Staff's report,along with the recommendation that the developer be <br /> given flexibility on the placement of the trees, and with the recommendation that the privately <br /> owned public parcel be included in the final plat. VOTE: Ayes 7,Nays 0. <br /> 4. #14-3692 ANTHONY SARENPA,2620 FOX STREET AND 2630 FOX STREET,LOT <br /> LINE REARRANGEMENT,8:26 P.M.—8:30 P.M. <br /> Anthony Sarenpa, Applicant, was present. <br /> Curtis stated this application contemplates a lot line rearrangement between the properties at 2620 Fox <br /> Street owned by the Jaffreys and 2630 Fox Street owned by the Sarenpas. The applicant is requesting <br /> approval to transfer the north 64 feet of the Jaffrey property to be combined with the Sarenpa property. <br /> The lot line rearrangement will not result in the creation of a new buildable lot or any new nonconformity. <br /> Page 16 of 28 <br />
