' Hennepin County Special Requirements,Property Services SUPPLEMENTARYINSTRUCTIONSTOBIDDERS ' SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: BIDDING/CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS FOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS BID FORM , Page 4 of S 9.1.2 In examiningthe site,the Bidder shall become fully informed and record all investigations as to the condition of the site and surrounding area,locations and accessibility, existing utilities 1 and features,relocations that might be necessary to accomplish the work under the Contract, available facilities and difficulties that may be encountered therewith, other work that may be m progress thereon at the time the bid is submitted and other relevant matters which may , affect the Bid or accomplishment of the work under the Contract Documents. 9.2 PROMPT PAYMENTTO SUBCONTRACTORS. � 9.21 Bidders are advised that Minnesota Statutes Section 471.425, subd. 4a, requires prompt �yment to Subcontractors. The law requires the prime Contractor to pay any , Subcontractor within ten days of the prime Contractor's receipt of payment from the County for undisputed services provided by the Subcontractor. The law also requires the prime Contractor to pay interest of 1-1/2 percent per month on any undisputed amount not ' paid on time to the Subcontractor. AR1'�CI.E 10 ICONTRACT TIME ' 10.1 The Bidder shall achieve Substantial Completion of the Work as specified in Section 00800, Supplementary Conditions, Para.graph 8.4 Liquidated Damages. If the Contractor fails to complete its obligations within the project schedule, the Owner will be entitled to damages , on a daily basis. ARTICLE 11 I �,��A� ' 11.1 T'he Owner reserves the right to reinstate any alternate bid rejected at the time of contract award in the amount proposed by the successful Bidder, provided such reinstatement is made within one hundred twenty (120) days after the Bid opening. However, the Owner , sl�ll not reinstate an alternate bid unless the successful Bidder, with the inclusion in the contract award of any such alternate bid,would have been the successful Bidder at the time of contract award. rARTICLE 12 , P�tE-BID CONFERENCE 12.1 T'he Architect shall conduct a Pre-Bid Conference at the site, as per the Advertisement for Bids, for the benefit of the Bidders. All Bidders are encouragedto attend.
