Pursuant to <br /> MUFC 85.106 (a) , (b) , (c) which states: <br /> "Bxtension Cords. Section 85.106 (a) Prohibited Use. <br /> Extension cords shall not be used as a substitute for <br /> permanent wiring. " <br /> " (b) Use of Portable Appliances. Extension cords are <br /> permitted only with portable appliances or fixtures. While <br /> in immediate use, in accordance with the following: <br /> 1. Each extension cord shall be plugged directly into an <br /> approved receptacle and shall, exceptfor approved multiplug <br /> extension cords, serve only one appliance or fixture. <br /> 2. The current capacity of the cord shall be not less than the <br /> rated capacity of the appliance or fixture. <br /> 3. The extension cord is maintained in good condition <br /> without splices, deterioration or damage. <br /> 4. The extension cord is of the grounded type when servicing <br /> grounded appliances or fixtures. " <br /> " (c) Installation. Extension cords andflexible cords shall <br /> not be affixed to structures, extend through walls, ceilings, <br /> floors, under doors or floor coverings, nor be subject to <br /> environmental damage or physical impact. " <br /> 5. Within seven (7 ) days, installdoor closer on mechanicalroom. <br /> Pursuant to to NFPA 101 (a) , (b) , which states: <br /> "6-4.1 Protection shall be provided from any area having a <br /> degree of hazard greater than that normal to the general <br /> occupancy of the building or structure, such as storage of <br /> combustibles or flammables, heat producing appliances, or <br /> maintenance purposes, as follows: <br /> (a) Enclosure with construction in accordance with <br /> Section 6-2 with a fire resistance rating as <br /> specificed by Chapters 8 through 30, but not less than <br /> 1 hour, or <br /> (b) Protection with automatic extinguishing systems <br /> in accordance with Section 7-7 , as required by <br /> Chapters 8 through 30 .
