�— Council <br /> Exhibit A <br /> Navarre Lanes <br /> January l Oth,2011 RECE jV��. <br /> Mayor&City Council JAN � 9 Z�1� <br /> City of Orono C�j'y. <br /> 2750 Kelly Parkway �F�RONp <br /> Orono,MN 55356 <br /> Dear Mayor&City Council: <br /> Thank you for again for your help and support of my dream of re-opening Navarre Lanes. <br /> We have currently run into an issue that I hope we can work together to resolve with our signage. <br /> Per city code we need to have a monument sign on the frontage of Shoreline Drive 8c Kelly Ave. <br /> We are working on plans to have a permanent`Monument Sign',but current weather(snow)and ground <br /> frost conditions would make it impossible for us to have the sign constructed properly,with footings,until <br /> sometime in May 2011 after the frost is out of the ground. <br /> I am requesting an appeal to the city code ta allow us to continue to use the`Temporary Sign'until weather <br /> conditions will allow us to build the`Permanent Sign' in May of 2011. <br /> I feel we will suffer business loss if we cannot have some type of signage on the Shoreline Dr.frontage for <br /> the ne�ct few months. <br /> We currently,per city guidelines,have a temporary sign on the corner of Kelly&Shoreline Drive to help <br /> customers lmow that we are now open and point them in the direction of our pazking lot. <br /> Per city code,we aze only allowed to have the `Temporary Sign' for the duration of 40 days. <br /> (If you are not familiar with our location,we are located in the basement of a strip mall and access to our <br /> parking lot is off of Kelly Ave. Without the current`temporary signage',it would be almost impossible for <br /> new customers to find our location.) <br /> Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. <br /> Thank you. <br /> Sincerel <br /> , � <br /> � .! �`—�� <br /> Barry Tanner/Navarre Lanes <br /> 3435 Shoreline Drive•Navarre MN 55391 •Phone:612.916.0223•btrace3�msn.com <br />
