. � � � ��� �;� � � �� 3 z s� �� <br /> z� � � � � � <br /> 5 <br /> Within the B and I districts, wall and monument signs are permitted subject to the following <br /> regulations: <br /> (1) B-1, B-2 and B-4: size. Within the B-1, B-2 and B-4 districts, the aggregate square footage <br /> of sign space per lot shall not exceed the sum of one square foot for each front foot of building, <br /> plus one square foot for each front foot of lot not occupied by a building. No individual sign <br /> shall exceed 50 square feet. <br /> (4) B-1, B-2 and B-4: height. Within the B-1, B-2 and B-4 districts, no sign shall extend in <br /> height more than two feet above the highest outside wall or parapet of any principal building, nor <br /> shall any sign be located closer than ten feet from any property line; except that any sign over ten <br /> square feet may project two feet into any required yard area from the principal building. <br /> (11) Monument signs. One monument sign, limited to two faces is allowed per frontage per <br /> property, with a maximum of two. The areas of sign base, the supporting background structure, <br /> and the sign copy shall be combined for determining the total square footage and the height of <br /> the monument sign. <br /> a. The total allowable square footage shall not exceed 100 square feet per side. The base and <br /> supporting material shall constitute at least 25 percent of the total square footage. <br /> b. The base width dimension is 50 percent or more of the greatest width of the sign. <br /> c. The sign copy area shall have a minimum clearance of 20 inches above ground level. <br /> d. The sign copy area shall be completely enclosed within the monument materials. <br /> e. No portion of the sign or sign structure shall exceed ten feet above ground level. <br /> £ The monument sign base shall be constructed of materials similar in appearance to those of <br /> the principal structure and shall consist of brick, natural stone, stucco, textured cast stone, or <br /> integrally colored concrete masonry units. The structure surrounding the face of the sign from <br /> the base to the top of the sign must be solid, continuous, and consist of the base materials or <br /> complementary materials that match the appearance and color of the principal building. <br /> g. The 200 square feet of ground area around the base of the monument sign shall be <br /> landscaped with shrubs or perennials <br /> Signage allowed = 316 s.f. based on Shoreline Drive"front footage"(an undefined term) <br /> Proposed liquor= 36 s.f. <br /> Future Monument= 100 s.f. <br /> Bowling Alley Wall = 50 s.f. <br /> Bowling Alley driveway = 12 s.f. <br /> Post Office = ? (not over 50) <br /> NAPA Auto Parts = 42 s.f. <br /> Total Known= 240 s.f <br />
