I would offer the following chronolog to help you understand the City's <br /> perspective on this topic: <br /> June 1975 Ralph Burnet applied to City for a subdivision of the Scott property at 2040 <br /> Shoreline Drive. During the review process in July and early August, <br /> Planning Commission and Council refused to make commitments regarding <br /> lake rights. <br /> August 1975 Burnet made formal application for a variance to Orono Zoning Code Sections <br /> 30.040 and 34.340 to allow the construction of accessory structures (docks) <br /> on the outlot parcels which have no principal structure,for Lots 1-6. It is clear <br /> from that application that only Lots 1-6 were requested to have lake rights. <br /> Planning Commission and Council approved this variance request subject to <br /> each lot having one two-slip dock on its related outlot. <br /> November 1975 Hennepin County Public Works in their review discouraged dockage on�he <br /> outlots due to safety reasons. City did not change its mind. <br /> March 1976 City Council granted final plat approval (Resolution#664). <br /> August 1976 Darwin Reedy of Burnet Realty had qtiestions regarding address/legal <br /> descriptions in relation to a sale of a lot in Hartwood, and it�vas aaain noted <br /> the variance had been granted to only Lots 1-6. y <br /> Telephone (612) 473-7357 � FAX 473-0510 <br />
