The design of the wood, concrete, and connections are based on a maximum roof <br /> snow load of 35 PSF and an occupancy live load of 40 PSF.All footings shall bear <br /> on natural undisturbed soil or on compacted granular fill. In lieu of soil borings, <br /> footings have been designed for a maximum soil bearing pressure of 1500 PSF. It <br /> is the responsibility of others to verify that bearing capacity. The lateral force <br /> design is based on a basic wind speed of 90 MPH, exposure B. <br /> Notes: <br /> 1. Dimensional lwnber shall be Northein SPF No. 2 or better. See IRC Table R602.3 <br /> for fastening schedule. <br /> 2. All wood in direct contact with concrete, earth, or weathering shall be treated. <br /> 3. Concrete work shall confoi�n to all requirements of ACI 301. Concrete shall be air <br /> entra.ined with a strength of f c=4,000 psi. <br /> 4. The contractor shall verify, field check, all sizes, dimensions, elevations, <br /> locations, etc. of elements of the existing construction which are relative to new <br /> construction. <br /> 5. The contractor shall properly brace the structure during construction. <br /> 6. Simpson products called out herein may be replaced with USP or similar of equal <br /> or greater capacity. <br />
