Lake Street <br /> Wayzata MN 55391 <br /> Re: Building Permit Application#2017-01081 <br /> On September 25, 2017 the City received updated building permit plans for an application at 1760 Shoreline Drive. <br /> Staff conducted a preliminary review based on the information provided and recommends the following items be <br /> submitted or revised in order for your application to be considered complete and for the plan review to continue: <br /> 1. Engineer Comments. Our engineer has reviewed the survey and has the following comments: <br /> a. The survey needs to be signed by whoever prepared it. <br /> b. The plans depicts a construction entrance and an"Access Easement?". Please clarify if this is for a new <br /> driveway or for construction access only. If for a new driveway please provide proof that an easement <br /> exists for that purpose. <br /> c. The plan shows silt fence on the neighboring property. Please provide approval from the neighbor that <br /> this will be acceptable. <br /> d. Top of Foundation. The top of foundation elevation is shown on the survey. Please have the surveyor <br /> show the point or spot where the top of foundation elevation is in reference to. Please note,we expect <br /> the location to be consistent when submitting the foundation as-built. <br /> 2. Landscape Plan. Prior to the issuance of the building permit a landscape plan must be submitted showing all <br /> the proposed exterior/landscaping improvements, i.e. patios,grading,sidewalks, retaining walls,etc. The plan <br /> should include the name of the individual performing the work. Any proposed patios, grading, sidewalks, <br /> retaining walls shown on the landscape plan should also be reflected on the survey. <br /> 3. Pool Plans. The survey depicts a pool at part of the project. The building plans do not have any information <br /> regarding the pool. Please update the building plans to include the pool or we will red line the pool from the <br /> survey and it will not be included in the permit. <br /> 4. Average Lakeshore setback line. Please remove the average lakeshore setback line that cuts through the <br /> property. We only need the distances from the shoreline,which are already noted on the survey. <br /> 5. Minnehaha Creek Watershed District(MCWD). We have received conditional approval for the project; please <br /> contact the MCWD directly at 952-471-0590 regarding your project for final approval. Please note,the City of <br /> Orono will not issue a building permit without a copy of the MCWD permit or documentation stating the <br /> proposed project does not trigger any of their permitting requirements. <br /> 6. Building Inspector Plan Review.
