If the deck is removed and the total size(garage and house) is reduced to 1,000 sf
or less the 30'setback changes to a 15'setback and this variance could be eliminated. However,a variance would still
be required for the Average Lakeshore Setback as the guest house is closer to Tanager Lake than the Burwell home.
An Average Lakeshore Setback would not be required if the structure was re-built in-kind, but a CUP would still be
required.
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any additional questions.
Christine^'
From: Randy [mailto:randy@hnh-homes.com]
Sent:Tuesday,April 18,2017 4:42 PM
To:Christine Mattson<CMattson@ci.orono.mn.us>
Cc: ilj@jacobs-mgmt.com; Melanie Curtis<MCurtis@ci.orono.mn.us>
Subject: Re: 1700 Shoreline Drive/#2017-00332
Hi Christine,
If we nix the deck and make the house less than a 1000sq/ft can we get a permit without a variance?
Please inform.
Thanks,
Randy
HNH Homes
901 Twelve Oaks Center Dr.
Suite 903
Wayzata MN. 55391
Office - (952)288-3746
1
