The <br /> boulder wall on the northwest corner of the house was not constructed properly. The <br /> building code requires engineering on walls higher than four feet. No engineering was <br /> presented to the city on this wall. No fabric was evident behind the wall and the lack of <br /> this fabric has allowed soils to be washed away from behind the wall. This lack of soil is <br /> causing the wall to fail. Failure of this wall is causing failure of a paved patio above the <br /> wall. <br /> The walls on the front side of the house in the garage area are also a problem. These <br /> walls are of a manufactured type and are required to be build per the manufactures <br /> engineering. The walls were build without any inspections by the city, so it is unknown <br /> if the manufacturers engineering was followed.
