Cramer Builders and Remodelers <br /> 5500 Lincoln Drive Suite #180 <br /> Edina MN 55436 <br /> Re: 1720 Shady Wood Road/Building Permit Application #2017-01543 <br /> On November 11, 2017 the City received a building permit application for a new home. Staff conducted a <br /> preliminary review based on the information provided and recommends the following items be submitted <br /> or revised in order for your application to be considered complete and for the plan review to continue: <br /> 1. Certificate of Survey. We have received a survey dated 10.19.2017 and we have following <br /> comments: <br /> a. Top of Foundation. The top of foundation elevation is NOT shown on the survey. Please <br /> have the surveyor call out the top of foundation elevation as well as show the point or spot <br /> where the top of foundation elevation is in reference to. Please note, we expect the <br /> location to be consistent when submitting the foundation as-built. - Highlighted on plan, <br /> denoted under notes. <br /> b. The survey notes a cellar door and the building plans do not indicate a cellar door. Please <br /> update your plans to match - Removed. <br /> c. Your survey calls out the highest existing elevation as 935.2. Please indicate on the <br /> proposed survey where this existing elevation is locating on the property and where it <br /> touches the foundation or footprint of the proposed house. - Found a higher elevation, <br /> shown on ptan now. <br /> d. Please include the Top of Wall and Bottom of Wall elevations on the retaining walL - <br /> Shown. <br /> e. Please provide 2 updated copies of the survey which meet all city standards. <br /> f. The city Engineer has not finished their review and more comments may be forth coming. <br /> 2. Landscape Plan. Prior to the issuance of the building permit a landscape plan must be submitted <br /> showing all the proposed exterior/landscaping improvements, i.e. patios, grading, sidewalks, <br /> retaining walls, etc. The plan should include the name of the individual performing the work. Any <br /> proposed patios, grading, sidewalks, retaining walls shown on the landscape plan shoutd also be <br /> reflected on the survey. If your survey that was submitted includes all of the proposed <br /> landscaping please let us know if that is what you wish to use as your landscaping plan. - Is there <br /> anythin� else 1 need to show? <br /> 3. Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD). Your project may trigger the Minnehaha Creek <br /> Watershed District's (MCWDs) permitting requirements; please contact the MCWD directly at <br /> 952-471-0590 regarding your project. Please note, the City of Orono will not issue a building <br /> permit without a copy of the MCWD permit or documentation stating the proposed project does <br /> not trigger any of their permitting requirements. <br /> 4.
