You may apply for a Solar Energy Systems permit by mail or in person at the City offices. All Solar <br /> Energy Systems permits require a site plan and review by the Building Official. Specific Solar Energy <br /> Systems information can be found in City Code Section 78-1379—Alternative Energy Systems. <br /> 2. Permit cards will be sent by return mail after a review is completed. PERMITS ARE NOT VALID UNTIL <br /> YOU RECEIVE A PERMIT. WORK MUST NOT BEGIN UNTIL THE PERMIT CARD IS POSTED <br /> ON THE JOB SITE. <br /> 3. When any new construction or remodeling is involved, a separate building permit must be obtained. <br /> 4. All wark must be done in accordance with the Uniform Mechanical Code/State Building Code; <br /> Underwriters Laboratories,Inc.;the National Renewable Energy Laboratory;the Solar Rating and <br /> Certification Corporation or other body as determined by the building official. <br /> 5.
