In reviewing the proposed plans, identified as R6 that were emailed on 3-25-2016 (copy attached) it appears the
monument sign has changed again and a digital gas price sign is proposed. The digital sign is fine,as long as overall size
is the same or smaller, which it appears to be. Please confirm.
Below is a copy of my last email to Jesse at Choice Electric. We are still waiting for a dimmer proposal from him to
review.
Christine Mattson
Planning Assistant
City of Orono
2750 Kelley Parkway Orono MN ( 55356(physica/addressJ
PO Box 66 Crystal Bay MN I 55323-0066(mailing addressJ
'' 952.249.4620 8 952.249.4616
 cmattson@ci.orono.mn.us S www.ci.orono.mn.us
Office Hours: Monday-Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm
From:Christine Mattson
Sent:Thursday, March 24, 2016 8:15 AM
To:'jthompson@choiceelec.com'<jthompson@choiceelec.com>
Cc:Jeremy Barnhart<ibarnhart@ci.orono.mn.us>
Subject: RE: Holiday Station Stores
lesse,
Your dimmer proposal sounds like a great solution. The City does not have a NIT level standard. Citv Ordinance 78-831
requires lighting to be reduced to avoid glare on public roads. In our experience,a reduction of by a third has worked,
but we are open to alternate suggestions.
Christine Mattson
Planning Assistant
City of Orono
2750 Kelley Parkway Orono MN 55356(physica!addressJ
PO Box 66 Crystal Bay MN 55323-0066(mailing addressJ
'a' 952.249.4620 8 952.249.4616
 cmattson@ci.orono.mn.us I www.ci.orono.mn.us
Office Hours: Monday-Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm
From: ithompson@choiceelec.com [mailto:ithompson@choiceelec.com]
Sent:Tuesday, March 22,2016 10:08 AM
To:Christine Mattson<CMattson@ci.orono.mn.us>
3
