TO: MEMO TO FILE
FROM: Christine Mattson
DATE/TIME: 6-14-2010 / 13:45
RE: 2377 Shadywood Rd
Aladdin Restaurant
Amir Elsherbiny (Aladdin Restaurant) received letter from Campbell Knutson. Amir called
Melanie. Melanie asked me to return his call.
Amir answered the phone, when I stated who I was and that I was returning his call to Melanie,
he stated he doesn't know why he received this letter. He said he took a picture and sent to
Melanie and she said it was fine. I replied, "at the time, the front of the buiiding was free of
temporary signage". There still remains a banner on the North side of the building. I read to
him what it says. There was a long pause and he said, "okay, I will take it down." I said, "and
any other signs like that need to be removed and not put back without a temporary sign permit."
No reply.
After I hung up Lyle heard my conversation and stated that Mr. Elsherbiny had a `sandwich
board' displayed in front of the restaurant today. I called Mr. Elsherbiny back and told him the
`sandwich board' that is displayed in the front of the restaurant is also considered temporary
signage and it needs to be removed also. He said, "okay". I thanked him and ended the
conversation.

2
