Approval is contingent upon meeting the requirements <br /> listed below. A copy of the approved plans and this report must be retained at the project location. <br /> INSPECTIONS: All plumbing installations must be tes d and inspected in accordance with the requirements of <br /> the Minnesota Plumbing Code. No plumbing work may e covered prior to inspection. The contractor/installer <br /> must obtain all required inspection permits from the city f Orono Building Official. <br /> REQUIREMENTS: <br /> 1. The plans appear to show the temperature and p essure relief valve for the water heater discharging <br /> indirectly to a floor drain located within the res oom. No indirect waste receptor shall be installed <br /> in a toilet room, closet, cupboard, or storeroom, or in a portion of a building not in general use by <br /> the occupants (see Minnesota Rules, Chapter 471�4, Section 804.1). Verify that a code compliant <br /> plumbing installation will be installed. <br /> 2. Water heaters must be provided with a water-tight cdrrosion-resistant drainage pan when located where <br /> damage may be caused by leaking(see Minnesota R�les, Chapter 4714, Section 507.4). A 3/4-inch <br /> minimum drainage outlet must extend from the drainage pan to an approved location. Water heaters at an <br /> elevation above the hot water fixture outlets must ha�e a vacuum relief valve(see Minnesota Rules,Chapter <br /> 4714, Section 608.7). � <br /> 3. The size of vent piping shall be determined from its l�ngth and the total number of fixture units connected in <br /> accordance with Minnesota Rules, Chapter 4714, Sec�ion 904.1 and Table 703.2. A 2-inch vent serves a <br /> maximum of 24 d.f.u. for a maximum of 120 feet of�ivhich only 1/3 of this distance may be installed in the <br /> horizontal position. <br /> 4. Public-use lavatories must have an ASSE 1070 mixin valve limiting the hot water temperature to 110 <br /> degrees Fahrenheit or less(see Minnesota Rules,Cha ter 4714, Section 421.2). <br /> 5. Valves should be installed permitting the water suppl to each individual fixture to be shut off without <br /> disrupting any other portion of the building. An acce sible control valve shall be installed ahead of each <br /> . slip joint connection at a plumbing fixture(see Minne ota Rules, Chapter 4714, Section 606.5). <br /> 6.
