This review is limited to the provi�ions of the Minnesota Plumbing Code,Minnesota Rules,Chapter 4714 and assumes the data on which the de�ign is based are correct. Approval is contingent upon meeting the requirement(s) listed below. A copy of the app�oved plans and this report must be retained at the project location. INSPECTIONS: All plumbing itlstallations must be tested and inspected in accordance with the requirements of the Minnesota Plumbing Code. Nfo plumbing work may be covered prior to inspection. The contractor/installer must obtain all required inspection permits from the city of Orono Building Official. REQUIREMENT(S): 1. Provide ASSE 1070 mixingjvalve limiting the hot water temperature to a maximum of 110 degrees Fahrenheit for the lavatoriesi(see Minnesota Rules,Chapter 4714, Section 421.2). • 2. Verify that the existing wate�distribution pipes are sized to accommodate the added fixtures(see Minnesota Rules, Chapter 4714, Sections 610.7 through 610.12). Note water distribution systems serving flush-valve urinals must be sized in accprdance with Minnesota Rules,Chapter 4714, Section 610.10. Urinals must be assigned 20, 15, 10,and 8 v�kater supply fixture units consecutively,with 5 fixture units for the fifth urinal or greater(see Table 610.10). 3. Flexible water heater conne�tors must meet the standazds listed in Minnesota Rules,Chapter 4714,Table 1401.1 and the following(see Section 604.13): a. Copper or stainless ste�l connectors may not exceed 24 inches in length. b. PEX,PEX-AL-PEX,P$-AL-PE, or PE-RT tubing may not be installed within the first 18 inches of piped connection to the water heater. 4. Water heaters must be provi�ied with a water-tight conosion-resistant drainage pan when located where damage may be caused by leiakaking(see Minnesota Rules,Chapter 4714, Section 507.4). A 3/o-inch minimum � drainage outlet must extend om the drainage pan to an approved location. Water heaters at an elevation above the hot water fixture utlets must have a vacuum relief valve(see Minnesota Rules, Chapter 4714, Section 608.7). 5. Above-ground ABS or PVC drain,waste, and vent systems should utilize restraint fittings or a minimum 24- inch offset using 45-degree ittings every 30 feet. Expansion joints installed per the manufacturer's instructions may be installe in vertical runs exceeding 30 feet(see Minnesota.Rules,Chapter 4714, Installation Standards 5 and ). 6. All plumbing shall be ins lled in accordance with the 2015 Minnesota Plumbing Code(see Minnesota Rules, Chapter 4714).
