A copy of the app�oved plans and this report must be retained at the project location. <br /> INSPECTIONS: All plumbing itlstallations must be tested and inspected in accordance with the requirements of <br /> the Minnesota Plumbing Code. Nfo plumbing work may be covered prior to inspection. The contractor/installer <br /> must obtain all required inspection permits from the city of Orono Building Official. <br /> REQUIREMENT(S): <br /> 1. Provide ASSE 1070 mixingjvalve limiting the hot water temperature to a maximum of 110 degrees <br /> Fahrenheit for the lavatoriesi(see Minnesota Rules,Chapter 4714, Section 421.2). • <br /> 2. Verify that the existing wate�distribution pipes are sized to accommodate the added fixtures(see Minnesota <br /> Rules, Chapter 4714, Sections 610.7 through 610.12). Note water distribution systems serving flush-valve <br /> urinals must be sized in accprdance with Minnesota Rules,Chapter 4714, Section 610.10. Urinals must be <br /> assigned 20, 15, 10,and 8 v�kater supply fixture units consecutively,with 5 fixture units for the fifth urinal or <br /> greater(see Table 610.10). <br /> 3. Flexible water heater conne�tors must meet the standazds listed in Minnesota Rules,Chapter 4714,Table <br /> 1401.1 and the following(see Section 604.13): <br /> a. Copper or stainless ste�l connectors may not exceed 24 inches in length. <br /> b. PEX,PEX-AL-PEX,P$-AL-PE, or PE-RT tubing may not be installed within the first 18 inches of <br /> piped connection to the water heater. <br /> 4. Water heaters must be provi�ied with a water-tight conosion-resistant drainage pan when located where <br /> damage may be caused by leiakaking(see Minnesota Rules,Chapter 4714, Section 507.4). A 3/o-inch minimum <br /> � drainage outlet must extend om the drainage pan to an approved location. Water heaters at an elevation <br /> above the hot water fixture utlets must have a vacuum relief valve(see Minnesota Rules, Chapter 4714, <br /> Section 608.7). <br /> 5. Above-ground ABS or PVC drain,waste, and vent systems should utilize restraint fittings or a minimum 24- <br /> inch offset using 45-degree ittings every 30 feet. Expansion joints installed per the manufacturer's <br /> instructions may be installe in vertical runs exceeding 30 feet(see Minnesota.Rules,Chapter 4714, <br /> Installation Standards 5 and ). <br /> 6. All plumbing shall be ins lled in accordance with the 2015 Minnesota Plumbing Code(see Minnesota <br /> Rules, Chapter 4714).
