T'he purpose of this <br /> geotechnical explorahon was to characterize subsurface soil and ground water conditions and <br /> provide recommendations far site grading, pavement design and infiltration basin <br /> construction. <br /> In general,borings SB-1 tluu SB-3 encountered about 2 to 6 inches of bituminous over 4 to 8 <br /> inches of aggregate base underlain by silty sand and sandy lean clay glacial till soiLs to the <br /> termination depths of the borings. Boring SB-4 encountered about 11/z feet of ciayey topsoil <br /> underlain by sandy lean clay soiLs to the termination depth of the boring. The glacial soils <br /> are generally suitable for pavement support but are relatively impermeable and generally <br /> unsuitable for infiltration. <br /> Specifiic detaiLs regazding our procedures,results and recommendations follow in the <br /> attached geotechnical exploration report. <br /> Thank you for the opportunity to assist you on this project.
