Permics are required for all fire sprinkler inscallation and repair. All work shall be done by a licensed fire <br /> sprinkler concracior. 2 secs of plans, specification and hydraulic calculaiion sheets shall be submitted to the <br /> Orono Fire Marshal a mi�imum of 7 davs before scart of work. <br /> 2. You may apply for permits by maii or in person at the Ciry offices. <br /> 3. All systems shall be designed, inscalled and maintained co N.fi.P.A.-13, N.F.p.A.-25, and Minneso�a S�ate <br /> Building Code, Minnesota Uniform Fire Code and Standards. All actic systems are to be spaced at a <br /> ma�:imum of 130 square foo� coverage. Plastic pipe will not be allowed a�any [ime in attic spaces. <br /> 4. All equipment instmlled shall be U.L. or F.M. approved for firc procecaon service. <br /> 5. Yard or wall post indicator valves are required. All indicting and conuol valves installed shall be provided <br /> wich tamper procection. On dry sys�ems, �he con�rol valve to scrvice the pressure switch (air) shall be <br /> supervised. <br /> 6. Inspectors tesc valves shall he inscalled on each floor level or Zone of syscem. Main drain and inspectors test <br /> valves shali be piped to che ouuide. <br /> 7. No water is to be introduced inro the sprinkler syscem until main had been rharoughly flushed. Air tes[and <br /> flushing shall be witnessed by Ciry of Orono Water Department. <br /> 8. An approved audible/visual device wired to main flow switch shall be ins�alled above che Fire Departmen[ <br /> connecuon and in areas normally occupied by cenancs. <br /> 9. EXISTTNG SYSTEMS: If any changes in the hydraulicaily most demanding area, change in occupancy <br /> classification or addition of 20 or more heads, hydraulic calculations and flow test will be required. <br /> 10. All final flow or �rip tcscs shall be wunessed by the Orono Fire Marshal. Appoincmen�s can be made by <br /> calling Orono Ciry offices, (612)249-4600. 24-hour notice required. <br /> 11.
