With regards to the porch entry, we are converting the existing closed entry to an open covered entry. As for the roof, we are going to shingle in a different color. We are also going to open up a few pockets within the existing roof and complete some new truss work. Our submitted plan is for exterior and interior improvements all done within the confines of the existing footprint. In fact, we will actually be reducing the footprint as we plan to remove the various cosmetic columns and trellis work currently present. If you have any further questions, please let me know. It is not entirely clear to me, but it appears that you are proposing to do some interior changes to the structure as well as expansion of two stoops and construction of a covered porch entry. Is this the case? Are you proposing to remove the existing roof? Any work proposed outside the existing footprint or envelope of the existing house require Planning Commission and City Council approval of variances. Additionally, the proposed work should be shown on a current survey. The survey submitted with the building permit does not reflect the exterior changes and is not to scale.
