The width of the existing stairs footprint is approximately 57" from the outside of the <br /> support posts on each side. There are 10 steps, plus the landing, with an overall run of approximately <br /> 14' 11", including the landing. The existing handrail extends approximately 1 foot towards the lake from <br /> the bottom step. Due to uneven terrain at shoreline (rip rap boulders, the dock is installed on top of the <br /> bottom step. The stairs are extremely deficient, including the structural elements. <br /> Stairs Proposed Improvements: The stairs will be completely removed and rebuilt in the existing <br /> footprint.
