G�- No. 6 8 8 2 <br /> �9'�ES H 0�� <br /> A RESOLUTION APPOINTING <br /> THE ABSENTEE BALLOT BOARD <br /> FOR THE 2018 PRIMARY ELECTION <br /> TO BE HELD AUGUST 14,2018 <br /> WHEREAS,the City Hall serves as an absentee ballot center for the residents of Orono;and <br /> WHEREAS, State Statute Section 203B.121 provides that an Absentee Ballot Board must be <br /> appointed by the City Council to process absentee ballots. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Orono City Council that the individuals <br /> named on Exhibit A be appointed as the City of Orono Absentee Ballot Board Election Judges for the <br /> August 14,2018 Primary Election;and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that: <br /> A. The Absentee Ballot Board will meet with at least two election judges of different <br /> political parties at various times as designated by the City Clerk. <br /> B. Absentee Ballot Board members shall be compensated at the same rate as an Election <br /> Judge at$10.00 per hour or a Head Election Judge at$10.50 per hour for their services. <br /> C. The City Clerk is,with this resolution,authorized to make any substitutions or additions <br /> to the Absentee Ballot Board as deemed necessary;and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the Orono City Council also appoints other individuals and all <br /> members appointed to the Hennepin County Absentee Ballot Board as authorized under Minn. Stat. <br /> 204B.21, Subd. 2,under the direction of the Election Manager to serve as members of the Orono <br /> Absentee Ballot Board. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota, at a regular meeting held July 9, <br /> 2018. <br /> ST: <br /> Anna Carlson,City Clerk Dennis Walsh,Mayor <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
