NE, Hanover, MN 55341
(763) 498-8779 Fax (763) 498-8290
August O1,2006
Steve Lindo
2140 Salem Court
Orono,Hennepin County
This on-site Sewage Treatment System is designed for a Type i,Five-bedroom home in accordance with the Minnesota
Pollution Control Agency Chapter 7080 and local ordinances.
The seasonally saturated soils were located at 18"-26"(mottled soil). Due to seasonally saturated soils,a pressurized
Mound System will need to be installed to treat septic efluent. The bottom ofthe treatment area most be located at
least 3'above the saturated soils.Due to limited space. The mound rockbed must be split into two rock beds. The
proposed rockbed are to be 32 Feet in length.
This svstem is designed with duel rockbed using unlevel pressure distribution.See desien sheets.Use 7/32 inch
perforations on the Iaterals.
The supply line must be insulated under the driveway.
The absorption area of the proposed system does not overlap and is greater than 10 feet from the property line.
The soils at a depth of 12"have a percolation rate averaging 6 MPI.
All neighboring wells are located greater than 100'away from proposed treatment area.
The existing lift station must be turned into a septic tank and a new 1250 gallon lift station must be installed.
A pumping chamber will need to be installed to lift the eiluent to the treatment area. The power supply and switches
must be located outside the manhole and pumping chamber in a weatherproof enclosure. A warning device must be
installed with light and sound devices;this is in case of a pump failure. The manifold and supply line must have back
drainage to the pumping chamber. The distribution pipes shall have their ends capped. Be sure the rock and sand fill
materials are clean. The sod layer below the entire mounded area must be turned over, just break up the sod and be
sure not to over work.
Keep all heavy equipment off of the proposed treatment areas before, during and after construction. The area
around both sites must be fenced off by the contractor before any construction begins. This Design is not valid
and the System will need to be relocated if failure to protect the areas proposed for On-Site Sewage Treatment
occurs.
With proper installation and maintenance, this system should have no problem in treating scptic effluent effectively.
Nothing other than gray water,(laundry, showers, etc.) Human water and toilet tissue should be disposed of into the
septic tanks. (iarbage disposals are not recommended. Additives must not be used;they may cause hannful damage to
your septic system. It is recommended that you pump the tank every year for 1 tank every two years for two tanks.
Sincerely,
".!"YP flRONn
' LN ttVF,Wn
Joseph J.Olson jj1T .(
DA : ` ` - i MIT Nn —______.....,
 1ttrrr
I:ifYa*5 nrr•.n
 :< „.SLh1i'I
'11 . ,.. .!!11)l'(}
in fult cep {e dc.
i',quirementi►C ti ,rcritlw.
5t:1:P THIS PLAI AL.
