� <br /> Unless otherwise noted, wall footings are centered under walls and column footings under <br /> columns. Footing elevations shown on plan are to top of footing. Footings for walls, unless <br /> otherwise noted, shall be 10"thick with a minimum projection of 4"each side with 2-#5 <br /> continuous. <br /> SLABS ON GRADE <br /> All slabs on grade, unless otherwise noted, shall be 4"thick with 6x6-W1.4xW1.4 WWF centered <br /> in slab. All stair slabs on grade, unless otherwise noted, shall be 4"thick with 6x6-W1.4xW1.4 <br /> WWF centered in slab. <br /> POURED CONCRETE WALLS <br /> Unless otherwise noted on plans or sections, reinforce poured concrete walls with#5 verticals at <br /> 24"on center inside face and#5 horizontals at 24"on center inside face. Provide#5 x 4'-0" (2'-0" <br /> each leg)corner bars at 24"on center, horizontal reinforcing, at corner of wall with 3-#5 vertical <br /> support bars. All wall openings larger than 12"shall have 2-#5 all sides of openings. Extend <br /> reinforcing 2'-0" beyond each edge of opening. Wall reinforcing is continuous through columns. <br /> PRECAST CONCRETE UNITS <br /> The design of all precast concrete units shall conform to A.C.I. 318-83. Prestress units must <br /> sustain the loads indicated in addition to all other dead loads. <br /> Plank shall be prestressed hollow-core slabs, proportioned for the loads noted on the drawings. <br /> Upon installation, plank shall be essentially past the effects of deformation due to creep, and shall <br /> have camber not over L/360 of the span. Such camber shall be uniform from plank to plank. All <br /> headers at openings in precast shall be furnished by the precast supplier. Place mechanical <br /> openings, not shown on plans, between webs in the precast plank units. Submit complete shop <br /> drawings to architect for approval, showing the erection plan, all bearing conditions, and <br /> anchorage details. Calculations certified by a professional engineer will be required for precast <br /> units and anchorages. <br /> STRUCTURAL STEEL <br /> All structural steel shall be designed, fabricated and erected according to the American Institute <br /> of Steel Construction (A.I.S.C.)standard specifications. Structural steel supplier shall supply all <br /> cap plates, bearing assemblies, base plates, stiffeners, splices, connections and shall design <br /> same unless noted on drawings. All welding shall be done using the shielded arc process using <br /> E70 electrodes in accordance with the rules of the American Welding Society(A.W.S.)Structural <br /> Welding Code. All welders shall be certified using the rules of the American Welding Society. <br /> DIMENSION LUMBER <br /> Dimension lumber shall be No. 2 hem Fir or equal for joists, beams and headers. Wall studs shall <br /> be Stud Grade SPF or equal. Spacing of bridging for joists shall not exceed 8'-0". Wood lintels <br /> and headers shall have a full 1'/z" length of bearing at each end unless notes otherwise. Double <br /> all joists under parallel partitions. All beams and joists not bearing on supporting members shall <br /> be framed with"Simpson Strong-Tie"joist hangers or equal. Interior walls to have 2x4 studs at <br /> 16"on center. Exterior walls to have 2x6 studs at 16"on center. Wood joists shall bear the full <br /> width of supporting members(stud wall, beams, etc.)unless otherwise noted. Wood beams <br /> made of 2 or more 2x's shall be bolted together with 3/8"diameter through bolts at 2'-0"on center <br /> or equivalent spikes. Sill plates to be bolted to foundation walls with '/z"diameter anchor bolts at <br /> 4'-0"on center maximum to extend 15" minimum into grouted masonry. Each sill plate to have a <br /> minimum of 2 bolts with one bolt located within 12"of each end of each piece. Nailing to be in <br /> accordance with Table 2304.9.1 of the I.B.C. <br />
