The seeding plan must <br /> include the list of species that will be used on site. Without the list of species, we are unable to confirm that <br /> the construction plan meets the requirements of the City of Orono's wetland buffer ordinance. <br /> To speed things along, I have designed a seeding mix (see attached excel worksheet) for the property that <br /> meets the requirements of the City's ordinance. If a seeding mix has not yet been prepared for the site, <br /> you may send us a letter stating that the property owner has agreed to use the seeding mix that Bonestroo <br /> designed. <br /> Also before we can approve the construction plan, we must receive confirmation that the property owner <br /> will agree to remove the buckthorn that currently exists in the wetland buffer north of the newly constructed <br /> home. Buckthorn must be removed by hand, with no heavy machinery as stated in a previous memo. <br /> Please send us written confirmation that the seeding plan designed by Bonestroo will be used to restore <br /> the disturbed portion of the wetland buffer (or send us a copy of the prepared seeding plan), as well as <br /> confirmation that existing buckthorn will be removed by hand.
