���p CITY OF ORONO <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> ��, G,� No. b885 <br /> �qkFsxo�� <br /> A RESOLUTION <br /> APPROVING A VARIANCE FROM <br /> MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br /> SECTION 78-1279 and 78-1700 <br /> FILE NO. LA18-000053 <br /> WHEREAS, on June 6, 2018, Norling Lake Minnetonka Landscapes o/b/o Kent <br /> Lentnes ("Applicans"), applied for a variance from the City Code for the property addressed 3508 Ivy <br /> Place and legally described as: <br /> Lot 183, and the Southeasterly Half of Lot 182, TAYLORS SUBDIVISION OF <br /> SPRING PARK LOTS (hereinafter the"Property"); <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicants have made application to the City of Orono for a <br /> variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-1279 to allow a deck to be constructed 78.5 <br /> feet to the OHWL within the average lakeshore setback; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicants have made application to the City of Orono for a <br /> variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-1700 allow 27.4% hardcover; and <br /> WHEREAS, on June 18, 2008, after published and mailed notice in accordance with <br /> Minnesota Statutes and the City Code, the City Council held a public hearing, at which time all <br /> persons desiring to be heard concerning this application were given the opportunity to speak <br /> thereon; and <br /> WHEREAS, on June 18, 2008, the Planning Commission recommended approval <br /> of the variance; and <br /> WHEREAS, on July 9, 2018, the City Council reviewed the application and the <br /> recommendations of the Planning Commission and City staff; and <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Orono, Minnesota <br /> hereby approves the requested variance as described above based on one or more of the <br /> following findings of fact concerning the Property: <br /> FINDINGS OF FACT: <br /> 1.
