Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary <br /> Conditions and Division 1 Specification Sections,apply to this S�tion. <br /> 1.2 SUMMARY <br /> A. This Section includes structural glued laminated timber elements. <br /> B. Structural glued laminated(glulam)timber is defined to include wood members fabricated from <br /> 1-inch or 2-inch nominal thickness lumber,glued face-to-face to a depth of five or more laminations. <br /> l. Provide connectors,anchors,and accessories necessary to interconnect and secure <br /> glulam members to building structure. <br /> C. The types of structural glued laminated units specified include the following: <br /> 1. Straight beams,including girders and purlins,and cambered members. <br /> 2. Columns,including posts and standuds. <br /> 3. Laminated wood decking. <br /> 1.3 SUBMITTALS <br /> A. General: Submit the following according to Conditions of Contract and Division 1 Specification <br /> Sections. <br /> B. Product data including specifications and installation instructions covering lumber,adhesives, <br /> fabrication process,preservative treatment,accessories,and protection. <br /> C. Shop drawings showing full dimensions of each member and layout of entire structural system. <br /> Show lazge-scale details of connections,connectors,and other accessories. Indicate species and <br /> laminating combination,adhesive type,and other variables in required Work. <br /> 1.4 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Standards: Comply with ANSUATTC A 190.1,"Structural Glued Laminated Timber." <br /> 1. For laminated decking,form units from lumber graded by a recognized agency, <br /> complying with requirements of American Lumber Standazds Committee and PS 20, <br /> American Soflwood Lumber Standard. <br /> B.
