This Section includes glazing for the following products. <br /> 1. Plastic Sky light Units. <br /> B. Related Sections: The following sections contain requirements that relate to this Section. <br /> 1. Division 6 Section Rough Carpentry for wood curbs and nailers. <br /> 2. Division 7 Section Roof Accessories for curbs,and vents. <br /> 3. Division 7 Section Flashing and Sheet Metal for Sky lights <br /> 4. Division 7 Wood Shakes <br /> C. Refer to roofmg systems sections for roofing accessories to be built into the roofing system to <br /> accommodate Work of this section. <br /> 1.3 DEFINTTIONS <br /> A. Manufacturer is used in this Section to refer to a firm that produces Sky lights <br /> B . Deterioration of Sky light: Defects developed from normal use that are attributed to the <br /> manufacturing process and not to breakage and practices for maintaining and cleaning contrary to <br /> manufacturer's directions. Defects include obstruction of vision through sky light,and blemishes exceeding <br /> � <br /> those allowed by Sky light standards. <br /> 1.4 SYSTEM PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS <br /> A. General: Provide glazing systems that are produced,fabricated,and installed to withstand normal <br /> thermal movement,wind loading,and impact loading(where applicable),without failure including brealcage <br /> attributable to the following: defective manufacture, fabrication, and installation; failure of sealants or <br /> gaskets to remain watertight and airtight;deterioration of glazing materials;and other defects in const�uction. <br /> 1.5 SUBMITTAL5 <br /> A. General: Submit the following according to Conditions of Contract and Division 1 Specification <br /> Sections. <br /> B. Product data for each Sky light product including detail of construction relative to materials, <br /> dimensions of components,profiles,fmishes,glazing and light transmission and thermal characteristics. <br /> C Shop drawings showing fabrication and installation of Sky lights,including plans,elevations, <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br />
