Plywood Standards: Comply with PS 1 "U.S.Product Standard for Construction and Industrial ' <br /> Plywood"for plywood and,for products not nnarâ–ºufactured under PS 1,with APA PRP-108. <br /> 2.2 FABRICATTON ' <br /> . <br /> A. Wood Moisture Content: Comply with requirements of specified inspection agencies and <br /> manufacturer's recommendations for moistare content of finish carpentry in relation to relative , <br /> humidity conditions existing during time of fabrication and in installation areas. Provide finish <br /> carpentry with moisture content that is compatible wi#h Project requirements. <br /> B. Fabricate finish carpentry to dimensions,profiles and details indicated. Easc edges to radius ' <br /> indicated for the following: <br /> 1. Ltunber less than 1 inch in nominal thickness: 1/I6 inch. , <br /> 2. Lumber 1 inch or more in nomiaal thickness: 1/8 inch. <br /> PART 3-EXECUTION , <br /> 3.1 EXAMINATION <br /> A. Examine substrates for compliance with requirements for installation toleranaes and other ' <br /> conditions affecting installation and performance of finish carpentry. Da not proceed with <br /> installation until unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected. ' <br /> 3.2 PREPARATION <br /> A. Clean substrates of projections and substances detrimental to application. ' <br /> B. Condition fuush carpentry to average prevailing humidity conditions in installation areas before ' <br /> installation for a minimum of 24 hours unless longer conditioning recommended by <br /> manufacturer. <br /> C. Backprime lumber for painted fiaish exposed on the exterior.
