Finish: Finish fabricated assemblies with rust-inhibirive primer. <br /> 2. Wet-Use Finish: Where wet-use glulam work is indicated, fin�ish fabricated <br /> assemblies with hot-dip zinc coating(ASTM A 153), including bolts and other � <br /> fasteners. <br /> 2.2 FABRICATION r <br /> A. General: Comply with ANSUAITC A I90.1 in providing units indicated;where dimensions <br /> are not comptetely docuinented,proviae manufacturer's standard sizes and shapes required � <br /> to fulfill indicated performances. <br /> B. Appearance Grade: For exposed members, provide Architecturai appearance grade units <br /> complying with AITC 1 i 0. � <br /> C. Preservative Treatarent: Larninate members from preservativ�treated lumber. After <br /> dressing and end-cutting each member to fival size and shape,apply a heavy brush coat of � <br /> � same(or compatible)preservative lreatment{in a light petroleum solvent)to surfaces cut <br /> to a depth of more than 1/16 inch. Apply according to AWPA M4. <br /> 1. Provide preservative-tceatrnent solution free of water repellents and other � <br /> substances that might it�terfere when applying finishes. <br /> D. End-Cut Sealing: Immediately after end-cutting each member to final length, and after � <br /> wood treatment(if any),apply a saturation coat af end seaier to ends and other cross-cut <br /> surfaces,keeping surfaces flood-coated for not less than 10 minutes. <br /> E.
