' MINUTES OF THE <br /> ORONU CITY GOUN+CIL M�ETIAIG <br /> � Monday,January 12, 2015 <br /> 7:00 o'clock p.m. <br /> (PLANNING DEPARTMENT REPORT continued) <br /> Mack nated the Planning Commission me# in a joint work session last Wednesday, at which time a <br /> d"iscussion was held regardin�c�le revisions. The Gouncil has received the preliminary draft of thc c�de <br /> (PLANNING DEPARTMENT R�PQRT corttinued) <br /> revisions and Staff is in the process of updati.ng them. Staff expects to present the cevisions at the next <br /> City Council work session. Mack noted some of those items will need to be scheduled for a public <br /> hearing prior to the City Council rrieetirig. <br /> 1vlack reported he met today with Lhe Navarre Community Initiative Graup in follaw-up to the meeti�g in <br /> Navarre wiih Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Mack stated he is presently putting together a grant application as <br /> part afthat; which includes sorne letters of recommendation.. Mack indicated he hopes to have a draft <br /> document for the City Council in support caf that. In addition,a second meeting is bein�planned to move <br /> forward with the particulars of the project as well as a draflt budget. The meeting is sahedulecl on 7anuary <br /> 27 at 6:30 p.rn: Mac�C stated the lacation of the me�ting has yet to be deterniined. Mack nated they had <br /> approximately 40 people in attendance at the last meeting. <br /> �Valsh asked if he received ariy calls or feedback from the articles in tiie newsp�per. <br /> Mack in.dicated he did receive a c�uple of calls and that Chere is strong interest in this etrdeavor. Mack <br /> indicated he is happy to have a number of people involved in thisproject and that it will take a lot of <br /> volunteer effort to put this together. The dnnation program is fo ai providing an easy mechanism t4 eitizens to donate <br /> money and or items it�the city-owned parks, h as a park b�nch,picn' e,or a bike rack,which have <br /> a fairly set price.
