According to City Code Section 78-966 a permit is required <br /> prior to conducting earth moving activities. A stop work order was issued on November 24, 2010. The <br /> � City understands that the fill and material was moved by someone working on your behalf. This letter will� <br /> � serve as you notification that the fill must be removed and the area restored to its previous grades. <br /> � City Code Section 78-1608 (1)(c) prohibits filling within a wetland, and City Code Sections 18-2 and <br /> 18-196 prohibit deposit or excavation of materials within the right-of-way. As stated above, this letter is <br /> your official violation notice from the City of Orono. You are required to remove all fill material and restore <br /> the area to the original, pre-fill grades, including the areas in the public rights-of-way by <br /> December 15, 2010 in order to avoid legal action by the City.
